DMH.503 Mental Health Care Planning

Level 5, 32 Credits

Aim:

Module 3 explores the ideas of integrated mental health care planning using reflective practices with a focus on values-based leadership, workplace responsiveness and Te Ao Māori perspectives.

Learning Outcomes:

· Analyse the client’s needs and aspirations, integrating the demographic factors required to inform mental health support.

· Negotiate and develop a personalised, co-ordinated and enabled, person-centred care plan integrating identified client’s health and well-being aspirations.

· Select and justify strategies related to day-to-day living, to be incorporated into the client’s mental health support plan.

· Develop strategies in a mental health support plan integrating client and whānau need and aspirations.

· Using a Te Whare Tapa Whā framework, develop strategies to support the ental health and well-being of the client and whānau.

· Develop a personal mental health support plan embracing professional competence in the mental sector.
